Connecting to BaselineRTK

Everything your rover needs, on one page: the server details, where to find each rover's username and password, what you will see in the mountpoint list, and which one to choose.

Your rover's settings

Four settings, and you're on corrections

Every rover and machine-control display asks for the same things, though the names vary. Enter these in its NTRIP or internet corrections settings.

Nearest base, automatically

We send corrections from the base station closest to your rover, and move you to a closer one as you travel between sites. Your rover must send its position for this to work.

_20 or _94

Pick the datum

_20 sends GDA2020 and _94 sends GDA94. Use the one your design and site control are in: the two sit about 1.5 metres apart. For AHD heights, pair GDA2020 with AUSGeoid2020, and GDA94 with AUSGeoid09.

Ballarat_20

Or one base by name

Choose a base station by name to stay on it wherever you go. Your rover does not need to send its position, and it can list every base for you to pick from.

Connected but no fix? Check that send position is on, and that the mountpoint's datum matches your job. Still stuck? Email support@baselinertk.com and we will look at your connection from our end.

Username and password

Where to find your rover logins

Every rover has its own login. They are in your account, not in an email.

  1. Sign in at app.baselinertk.com.
  2. Your rovers lists each rover's username, for example brtk0001-01.
  3. A new rover's password, or one you have reset, waits under New passwords. Press Show new passwords to see it. It is shown once, so have the rover to hand.
  4. Lost a password? Press Reset password beside the rover. A new one appears under New passwords, and the old one no longer works for a new connection.

One login is for one machine at a time. Need another machine connected? Add a rover in Manage billing, and its login appears in your account within a minute or so.

The mountpoint list

What your rover will show

When your rover asks the server for its mountpoint list, it shows 68 entries: the two NEAREST mountpoints, then every base station twice, once for each datum.

See where each base is on the coverage map.

Which one to use

Pick by how you work

Your machine moves between sites, or you are not sure which base is closest
Use NEAREST_20 or NEAREST_94, with send position turned on.
Your rover or display cannot send its position
Use the closest base by name, for example Ballarat_20. Check the coverage map for the closest one.
Your site was calibrated against one base, or the job must stay on a single fixed base
Use that base by name for the whole job, so the reference never changes under you.
Your design and site control are in GDA2020
Use a mountpoint ending _20. For AHD heights, use AUSGeoid2020.
Your design and site control are in GDA94
Use a mountpoint ending _94. For AHD heights, use AUSGeoid09.
You are not sure of the datum
Ask whoever supplied the design before you start. The two datums sit about 1.5 metres apart.

Whenever you change mountpoint, or your rover moves to a different base, check a known survey mark before you carry on. Stuck? Email support@baselinertk.com and we will look at your connection from our end.
